The Card of the Week gives an overall theme to help kick in extra layers of meaning around the card of the day. Use it as a pair of night vision goggles to help clarify what’s been out of focus or shadowed.
The Card of the Week – The Archer
Remember, The Archer asks you to commit to a new path, be bold with your choices and picture the life you want to live. When you commit to your dreams arriving, the Archer takes aim and sends his arrows of desire out to meet the target. You can hit a Bulls Eye this week with this card’s help. Focus, get clear and commit yourself, commit your time, heart, belief and effort to heading towards a destination you want – then let the arrow fly. All that is yours, all that is meant to be is happening, trust what you have in your life and still ask for more.
Since more than half the cards this week are Arrows, the battle is won or lost in your mind. If you find fear winning, take back your power and remember your fears are your servant, not your master!
Card of the Day:
Day One – Nine of Arrows
Nines are a master number and what this card says is master your fears with attention and discipline. You are in command, don’t let your fear make the decision for you. Choose what is true, not what you are afraid is true. There’s a world of difference. The kindest, biggest possibility is what is available to you today. Notice where you can make another choice, one where you win, no matter what.
Action: See where fear has blown the issue out of proportion, turn the light of reason on it and watch that monster in the closet become a shirt when the shadows fall away.
Day Two – Two of Arrows
With the Two of Arrows, balance, harmony, both sides are represented. This is often the ‘patience’ card. But it’s patience that allows a more complete picture to emerge rather than a one-sided picture of Truth. Trust that there is truth on both sides of any issues. Allow a fuller picture to emerge than the one you start the day with and time will give you a richer resolution to any question. Where is time on our side, where can you trust your point of view is valid while more information flows in to round out your understanding. Patience, trust and you will see how this day works for you.
Action: Take any conflict that comes up and practice seeing your starting point and then letting another point of view to enlarge the picture. You don’t have to agree with it, just acknowledge and allow.
Day Three – Six of Arrows
Sixes are the number of healing, so today takes the energy of the preceding days and says you have come far enough to see the worst is over! It’s the rainbow after the storm, the promise of a new day, a new reality, more possibilities then you realized at the beginning of the week. Whatever shows up today confirms how far you’ve traveled from the old limited beliefs.
Action: Celebrate and enjoy the victory!
Day Four – Six of Stones
This is the second six in a row. Two sixes together signify unity, marriage or partnership. Given the theme we have developing this week this card promises as you master your fear brain (arrows) you gain the perspective the mind gives you without being cowed or cornered from using it to expand your world. Whew, big theme! This card cautions that where we are out of balance, balance will be restored with our without our permission, so notice where the day takes you. Do you have past kindnesses coming in to help you see where you’ve been generous or have you demanded more than your fair share only to meet resistance.
Action: By all means ask for what you require, and pay attention to whether your wants are confused with needs.
Day Five – Knight of Stones
The Knights are always about movement. This is the slowest moving Knight of the pack but still represents forward movement with a cautious review of possibilities. Tangible progress in security is what this card promises, you can move forward feeling secure in what is unfolding. It may not happen all at once, it won’t rush out to meet you as quickly as you might wish, but you can see it coming, can feel sure that the change is underway.
Action: Sit still and survey all that is unfolding. Bless it, choose your path and take the next step. Begin, begin, begin.
Day Six – The World
Well, HELLO WORLD. This is one of the sweetest Major Arcana cards. It is the promise of a new world opening up for you. With all the arrows this week, it promises that you are mastering your mind on a deeper, more powerful way than you have previously. All kinds of possibilities emerge. Patience is less trying to put into practice, fears are less daunting. This card signifies you have achieved a level of mastery over some aspects of your life. Celebrate this fact and know the world really is your oyster – enjoy!
Action: Give back to the world some of what you have from your abundance.
Day Seven – Two Wands
This fiery two says that there is a second part to this equation – someone else is required to get the next piece done. Fire is all about intuition, belief, courage for traveling out into the unknown. When this card appears, you have to talk with a trusted friend, partner, colleague and let the fire of enthusiasm spread. Since it’s a two, let the beginning be modest but heartfelt. You benefit most when you talk, share, inspire and be inspired by each other.
Action: Talk to someone special who can believe in your dreams and watch the fire grow!
