Card of the Week-The Wheel
No matter what you have going on this card signals change is at hand. Now change is always unfolding around us, the difference is whether you welcome the change, interact with it and direct it or whether you feel you are at the mercy of it. The Sun and Venus are opposite Saturn serving up the shadow side of who you are and what you love. This week you are being invited to see how you handle change. With each day, let change reveal itself and then put your hands in it and mix it up. What can you do differently then you have done before? Where can you let emotions, reactions, choices be something new? The old ways of doing and being are blocked or at a standstill. Can you create with the changes being shown to you rather than wishing for something to be different? You always have command of your internal weather, let the winds of change be what fills your sails to find new places and spaces!
Day One –
Six of Bows
Since six is the number of wholeness, completion, and the bows are our intuitive leadership or vision this card says you get to celebrate the success of one of your dreams, visions, leadership moments being realized. Whew, right. With the Sun and Venus being challenged, how sweet to find a the victories when and where they pop up. Notice how good it feels to win one. Being intuitive and brave with leading the way is not easily done. Success breeds more success, fire burns brightest with fuel, so be sure to enjoy the moment and celebrate!
Take Action:
Tell a friend, post on facebook, make sure you show the world how pleased you are with a triumph, no matter how small. You require applause and recognition today my friend!
Day Two –
Ace of Bows
This Ace is the start of something new. Today watch for a creative spark that can catch fire and flare up in unexpected ways to take you in a direction you didn’t expect. Beginnings are full of hope and possibility, yet they also require care, feeding and investment of attention and effort. What is worth your time today? Remember time is the one of the most precious investments you give anything you do. So invest well today, and watch it grow into more of what it can be thanks to your precious attention!
Take Action: At the end of the day make a mental list of new possibilities that popped up today. You might be surprised at what you see…
Day Three –
Page of Arrows
I love the Wildwood Tarot explanation for this page because it fits so well with the week that is unfolding. This card calls for ‘thinking a new plan through, studying and applying what you know, letting youthful optimism and energy carry you forward’. All these go perfectly with building on the spark that happened yesterday and trusting your vision thanks to the success of Monday. Today is your day to get momentum behind the changes in direction or habit and putting them into action to anchor the growth. After all, when you think, feel and act on something in a new way at least 21 times you’ve just created a new habit. What new habit are you anchoring today? Watch for the inner critic with this card, though. Your mind may try to herd you back into limited thinking. Forewarned is forearmed!
Take Action: If you catch yourself slipping back into old or limited mindset, just notice and shift your direction slightly. A small change is still a change and helps ease you into unexplored territory.
Day Four –Queen of Vessels
Ah, this queen is the heartfelt one of the bunch. Your intuition is strongly at play here. Trust your instincts, take care of your own emotional needs so you don’t spill out onto others and then let this queen lead you into enchantment. The caution with this card is to find the difference between enchantment and illusion. The first is heartfelt desire fulfilled, the second is wishing for something without doing anything to help make it happen. Also important with this queen is the necessity to separate out what you want from what others want. It can be hard in her watery realm to distinguish between your own need and someone else’s need. Tune into your needs, fill up your own cup, let the deep connection to your heart’s desire pull you into connection with the answer for it then enjoy!
Take Action:
If you find strong emotions flowing today, step back, put your hand on your heart and tune in to see if it is you or another that you are feeling for in that flow. Power rests in knowing the difference!
Day Five –
Seven of Stones
This seven has different meanings in different decks, but let me blend them together for you. The seven of stones has always been the garden that needs tending before it blooms to me. Care, effort, vigilance and most of all patience are required. After all, you can’t go out and pull a bud into opening – you destroy the flower if you try to force it open. In the Wildwood Tarot it speaks to a wounding that must be healed. If you count digging the earth apart to plant seeds, then the two definitions aren’t that far apart. Wherever things have been undone, count them as seeds planted for new growth. Then allow all of this week’s energy to show you how to carefully tend the new buds as they grow into rich beauty that will bless you for a long time after. Patience, care, understanding and kindness are all good themes for you today.
Take Action:
Whatever feels like comfort, be it food, clothes, programs to watch, give yourself that today. Comfort is the key word in nurturing your growth this week.
Day Six –Two of Vessels
Whoa there now! We kick in with this scorching hot two and watch creativity and personal combustion open up! Whoosh…The key to this card today is overcoming protective barriers. Whether the vessels are pointing to your creative endeavors or your personal relationships, it’s asking you to be aware that to lose yourself in something or someone, you must first feel confidant in who you are. Otherwise your defenses will snap back into place after the initial ‘falling in’ happens. Do you have a sense of what is important to you? Feel the difference between your desires and the pull of someone else’s so you can allow yourself the full measure of dropping in and immersing yourself in whatever comes your way.
Take Action: Bring breath mints and keep your eyes open for those moments of connection today that causes hearts to skip a beat. If you’re in a relationship, plan a date night why don’t you!
Day Seven –
Nine of Stones
Ah, nine is the last number of a cycle and speaks to mastery, in this case mastery of the physical realm. You can see tangible results for your efforts today. This week has offered up a lot of subtle and not so subtle shifts and you’ve done some growing. Today is the day where you can see a solid new beginning emerging where there wasn’t the same view at the beginning of the week. All of what has gone before along with all of what is unfolding is concrete ‘you-ness’ that gives you satisfaction of a most pleasing nature. Ease and abundance are wrapped into this card’s promise… you are reaping what you have sowed. Enjoy yourself!
Take Action: Share what you’ve earned, learned or done this week with someone who is still struggling. An encouraging word can be a powerful tool in your hand today for someone else. Give back some of what you’ve been given. You have more than enough coming to you.
